Frequently Asked Questions

When is the trip?

In 2026 there will be three trips available: Spring Break March 12-18th, June 2-9th, June 19-26th. You can sign up for one of the trips. There are only 8 seats for the Spring Break trip.

Is everything included?

Everything is included in the price: food, hotel, transportation fees, tickets for events, and anything you can possibly think of. You could pay the $1700 and not bring a single other dollar and have a very fun and fulfilling experience.

How much does it cost?

The entire tour costs 1975 dollars per person during the spring break tour (March 12th-18th) and 1800 dollars per person during a summer trip (June 2-9th, June 19-26th). However, there is a discount for siblings and families.

Should I bring money? What else should I bring?

Extra money is for souvenirs. The tour stops by many gift shops at historic landmarks so many buy hoodies, key chains, magnets, mugs, and other accessories and items.

How do I or my parents pay for the tour?

View the price tab for more information. Payments are done by check. We are working to set up a credit card payment option as well for this website.

How many students have been on the tour in the past?

See more information on the Past Tours page. A total of 77 students have been on the tour so far and several staff have also been on the DC trip.

For how many years has the tour been happening?

There has been a trip in 2014, 2015(2 trips), 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020(2 trips), 2021(2 trips), 2022, 2023, and 2025.

Who should go on the tour? Can I go or are there requirements?

The DC trip is open to all students. Many students go on the tour their junior year after completing the US history course, which is where the tour is introduced, but the tour is open to anyone with an interest in DC, traveling, history, nature, or just to have fun with friends. A poor disciplinary record can prevent you from going (ISS, OSS).
